Shenzhen subway extends service during Spring Festival
According to the Shenzhen Metro, the Shenzhen subway system will launch its Lunar New Year timetable from Jan. 23 to Feb. 8. The Spring Festival will fall on Feb. 1 this year.
According to the timetable, the Shenzhen subway system, except line 20, will extend its service time to midnight from Jan. 26 to Jan. 29 and from Feb.5 to Feb.9 to meet the needs of passengers. During these days, lines 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11, including halfway last trains on these lines, will prolong their service time.
The specifics are as follows:
The service time of line 1, from Luohu to Qianhaiwan and from Jichangdong to Zhuzilin, and line 11, from Futian to Songgang, will extend to 00:40 am.
The service time of the following lines will extend to 00:30 am. Line 3 from Shuanglong to Huaxin and from Fubao to Tangkeng; line 5 from Chiwan to Changlingpi and from Huangbeiling to Changlingpi; line 6 from Songgang to Meilinguan and from Kexueguan (Science Museum) to Fenghuangcheng; line 7 from Taian to Antuoshan, from Xilihu to Shenyun; line 9 from Wenjin to Shenzhenwan Park, from Qianwan to Maling; and line 10 from Futian Port to Gangkeng,
From Feb. 10 to Feb. 17, the service time of some lines of the Shenzhen subway system will extend to midnight.
Shenzhen Metro will extend lines 1, 3, 5, 6, and 11 that connect the railway stations and airport to midnight from Feb. 10 to Feb. 17.
The Shenzhen Metro made the timetable after analyzing the characteristics of passenger flows over the past few years. However, the company said it might carry out further adjustments to the timeline in light of the practical needs of the situation.
It stresses that all subway passengers must wear face masks and follow COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control protocols.
