Luohu held a brisk walking race to prevent chronic diseases
A brisk walking race kicked off in Luohu on June 5.
The event was hosted by Luohu public health bureau and organized by the Luohu chronic disease hospital. Nearly 100 representatives of the participants took part in the opening of the event.
The representatives pledged to walk 10,000 steps per day for 100 days starting from June 11.
The race is a serial event launched by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention to prevent chronic diseases among the work population through walking. In 2020, Luohu took part in the event for the first time.
On the sidelines of the event, Luohu will organize health seminars, physical examinations, and online fitness training to combine chronic disease prevention and control with its public fitness program.
