Luohu deepens labor cooperation with Longlin
A total of 171 migrant workers set out from Longlin of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on March 2 and headed to Guangdong province by long-distance bus.
The transportation was free of charge and arranged by Luohu, which assisted in Longlin’s poverty alleviation. The migrant workers’ destinations include Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, and Dongguan.
Luohu has insisted that its assistance to the county should continue after it eliminated abject poverty at the end of 2020. Now Luohu’s focus is to help the country pursue rural revitalization.
As of March 2, 94 long-distance buses have departed from Longlin, transporting 3,277 migrant workers to Guangdong.
Liang Meiqiao, a migrant worker, said the service is useful, as it takes him from the doorsteps of his home to the gate of his factory in Guangdong.
Wang Hanning, chief accountant of the Longlin bureau of human resources and social security, said that strict COVID-19 measures are taken to ensure the safety of the workers.
The Luohu government said that it would do more in future to deepen cooperation with Longlin in providing funds, training, and jobs.
