Luohu focused on enhancing living environment of villages
The renovation and living environment enhancement campaigns Luohu is carrying out in urban villages have won the praises of local residents.
Thanks to these projects, a convenient 15-minute life circle has been formed around these communities, which consists of community rehabilitation centers, parks, shops, and sites for physical exercise.
The living environment in these communities has also markedly improved, becoming much tidier and cleaner.
For instance, in the Reservoir New Village in Luohu district’s Cuizhu, many long-term problems, including messy electric wiring on the outside of buildings and a shortage of parking spaces, have been addressed through these projects, resolving potential dangers in residents’ daily lives.
Luohu also established a system to promote the campaigns in a bid to put an end to villages being a short plank in the district’s socioeconomic development. Grassroots civil servants and volunteers have all been mobilized to take part in these rectification activities.
