Luohu government has been renovating shopping malls in the Songgang business zone, to support the first-shop and first-launch economy and wholesale and retail enterprises.

As Shenzhen rolled out a new plan on July 6, outlining 30 measures to stabilize and promote economic growth, Luohu has strengthened its efforts to explore the potential of the consumption market.

Shopping malls are essential carriers of the first-shop economy. That’s why Sungang of Luohu, previously a zone of warehouses near the former Shenzhen North Station, is taking advantage of urban renovation to build and upgrade more shopping malls.

According to the plan of Luohu, Sungang will become an important science and technology commerce, business center, and financial backstage service base. Currently, Luohu boasts 15 urban renovation projects, which will provide an area of 4 million square meters for high-end industries once finished.
