Luohu leverages evaluation to promote grassroots governance
The Luohu district government has recently implemented a comprehensive public civilization index evaluation system to prompt governance in sub-district level.
The evaluation system will help resolve some difficult problems in the administration of city villagers where infrastructure facilities are comparatively less developed, and the population density is high.
The district's Civilization and Urban Management Work Office and the Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau of Luohu conducted surveys to ensure the evaluation system indexes can objectively assess the sub-district offices' performance in serving the people.
The indexes include the living environment in the community, public hygiene environment, public order, and infrastructure construction.
The district authorities carry out the evaluation once a month. Over the past two months, Dongmen has strengthened its regulation on illegal advertisement posters. Sungang focused on regulating mobile vendors, and Cuizhu addressed unlawful car parking.
