Luohu provides vocational training to boost employment
The Luohu human resources bureau has recently started providing vocational activities to job-hunters. Those who want to participate in it can register for the training courses from the Luohu Employment WeChat account run by the bureau.
The program, which aims to train skilled workers, housekeepers, and chefs, is part of Luohu's efforts to boost employment. Each training session lasts five days and can help the participants improve their professional skills and abilities in fields where talents are urgently needed in the district.
The housekeeping service attendants include babysitters, nurses for the aged, and cleaners. As of June, the district has seen the operation of 10 housekeeping service stations, which organize training and provide jobs. So far, more than 20 free courses of housekeeping skill training have been organized, and at least 1,500 jobs have been provided.
The chef training projects are popular too, including Chao local cuisine, Cantonese dim sum, local Cantonese cuisine, Hakka local cuisine, and other mainstream Cantonese cuisine skills. The trainees are expected to be able to cook 41 dishes of Cantonese cuisine after finishing the training.
