E-sports projects boost development of digital creative industries in Luohu
A ceremony marking the Tencent Tianmei Studio cluster projects contract signing and the commencement of the 2022 King of Glory First Class Professional League summer tournament was held in the animation base of Luohu in Shenzhen on June 21.
Xue Jiang, head of the culture, radio, television, tourism and sport bureau of Luohu, said that the projects and the tournament are important steps for Luohu to fully implement Shenzhen's “20+8” (20 strategic emerging industries and eight future industries) industrial cluster strategy and are of great significance to enhancing the comprehensive competitiveness of the district’s digital creative industry.
He said that Luohu would also launch a series of policies in the future to support the development of digital creative industries, which will cover such key areas as e-sports, creative design and digital visual effects, in a bid to create a first-class business environment and cultivate intellectual property (IP) unique to Luohu.
