The Luohu district government and China Southern Railway Construction Investment Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement on June 7.
Luohu Mayor Fan Defan, general manager of the company Wang Wei, and other senior officials of Luohu, including Zuo Jinping, Lai Jianhua and Zhan Hui, attended the agreement signing ceremony.
The company hopes that it can help Luohu accelerate its industrial upgrading and economic restructuring, and pursue high-quality development with its funds, research and development capacity, technology, talent, information and brand effect, so as to contribute to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
According to the agreement, the two sides will tap into their complementary strengths and potential to build a core international consumption zone and a cultural and ecological leisure zone in Luohu. They will strengthen their collaboration in finance, commerce, business services, and strategic emerging industries.
They will also work together to dovetail Luohu’s development with Hong Kong’s development for its northern part. Furthermore, they will boost the district’s port economic belt, and turn Luohu into a transport hub connecting Shenzhen and Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
