Luohu promotes student labor education through an online platform
More than 60,000 primary and middle school students from over 40 schools in Luohu have so far participated in a housework labor education program launched by Luohu Education Science Research Institute on Feb 21.
The Institute built an online platform for the students to upload videos and photos of themselves partaking in household chores, which can be shared and commented on by other students and teachers. The social function of the platform has greatly intrigued the participants’ interests in learning to do housework that is within their capacity.
The program was first piloted in a few schools, including Shenzhen Cuizhu Foreign Language Experimental School, and then rolled out in all schools across the district after it won praise from almost all participants.
Teachers in Luohu have offered a series of online courses on labor education and online seminars have also been held to evaluate and improve the courses.
