Luohu on the way to becoming an international consumption center
To build itself into an all-embracing hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Luohu is committed to becoming a core zone of Shenzhen as an international consumption center by boosting the development of new models of the economy related to the internet and improving its consumption environment and experience.
Luohu will develop more customized shops and experience stores in Dongmen Commercial Pedestrian Street to make it famous for combining characteristic consumption and local Lingnan culture.
Luohu encourages the development of new commerce, such as e-commerce and brand marketing on social media and live streaming platforms, in Dongmen. The Dongmen pedestrian street has been recognized as one of the national level's second batches of pedestrian streets that will be upgraded as a pilot project.
Luohu will also build itself into an international cultural tourism consumption experience center by introducing world-class exhibitions and operas to its consumption corridor consisting of Dongmen, Hubei, Caiwuwei, and Renmin South, four major businesses areas of Luohu.
The Shenzhen International Trade Center, a landmark tower in the city, is a duty-free shopping center of the Greater Bay Area. It consists of duty-free shops for outbound visitors, duty-free shops for foreign exchange commodities, and online duty-free shopping windows. The district will also actively strive for innovations in implementing relevant tax-free policies, expand the scale of tax refunds for outbound tourists, and make the duty-free shopping center a new model for cross-border consumption in the Greater Bay Area.
