Luohu sets growth target of 6% for 2022
The 2nd Plenary Session of the 8th Luohu Committee of the Communist Party of China was concluded in Luohu. This year, the district set its economic growth objective at around 6% at the conference.
Luohu will continue to prioritize the development of the Dawutong Emerging Industrial Belt and urban renovation projects in the Sungang-Qingshuihe zone.
Despite the negative impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic, fixed-asset investment in Luohu hit 42.89 billion yuan ($6.79 billion) last year, up 11.6% from the year before. In addition, the district's general public budget revenue was 10.7 billion yuan last year, an increase of 11.4% from the previous year.
Last year, Luohu had 4,290 new seats in public primary and junior middle schools and 720 new seats in public kindergartens.
The district government also provided 190 million yuan in subsidies for employment and entrepreneurship and kept the registered urban unemployment rate within 3.5%. Last year, it started the construction of 13,000 units of government-subsidized apartment houses.
Last year Luohu built 10 community parks, and its air and water quality both reached historical highs in recent years.
The district launched a people-oriented service mode. Based on big data analysis, the district government now pushes services to individual residents and enterprises.
Based on what the district has achieved, the Luohu district government set the target of the district's economic growth this year at around 6%.
It will continue to promote the development of modern and emerging industries, the finance and service sectors, improve grassroots governance, medical care, and education, and strengthen environmental protection work.
