Luohu lifts lockdowns in certain restricted and controlled areas
On the night of March 1, Luohu lifted lockdowns on specific restricted and controlled areas in the jurisdictions of Dongmen and Qingshuihe sub-districts and adjusted the epidemic risk level of relevant areas in Dongmen.
A resident surnamed Zhang in the affected area said she was happy to return home after a long period in quarantine, although she has to continue quarantine at home.
A woman surnamed Zheng said: “During the isolation period in the community, community workers and volunteers acted as ‘waiters’ in each house to soothe our emotions and ensure supplies. I live on the sixth floor, but the community epidemic prevention workers still visit us every day to conduct nucleic acid tests. I am very grateful to them.”
Xiong Bo, Party chief of Dongmen, said: “During the quarantine period, a pregnant woman was about to give birth. With the joint efforts of various departments, we opened a green channel for her. In addition, we have set up a hotline team for people's livelihoods and a special team to address the urgent needs of residents in a timely manner.”
He said that after the lockdown, regular epidemic prevention and control measures would continue to be implemented, as well as strict measures such as temperature measurements, health code scanning, and wearing of face masks.
Xiong added that businesses and residents should take personal precautions and seek medical advice if they have symptoms such as fever, cough, or sore throat.
A resident surnamed Li in Qingshuihe said: “I am confident that the epidemic can be defeated. And I am happy to be able to return to work. Although my income was reduced, health is the most important thing.”
