High schools implement closed-loop management under COVID-19
In the face of the resurgence of the COVID-19, ensuring the safety of third-grade students of senior high schools— while other students study remotely at home — has become a prominent challenge for Luohu.
High schools in Luohu have prepared emergency plans for the pandemic and made elaborate arrangements, including closed-loop management and mixed teaching.
For instance, third-grade students of Shenzhen Cuiyuan Middle School returned to campus on Feb. 20, with all students and teachers showing a negative nucleic acid test result obtained over the previous 24 hours. In addition, they had their temperature measured before entering the campus.
The school organized the first class of the semester to help students clarify epidemic prevention and control matters. Furthermore, the school is now implementing closed-loop management, and all teaching faculties and third-grade students must live on campus.
According to the rules, irrelevant personnel and vehicles are not allowed to enter the campus, nor are express delivery and takeaway food. The school will not organize large group activities on campus during the period.
The school also strengthens health check, pandemic prevention and control management, health improvement, teaching linkage, and care for teachers and students.
Teachers and students should check their health every day and report any fever, cough, and other symptoms in time. In addition, they should wash their hands or use hand sanitizer frequently.
At the same time, face masks and hand sanitizing gel are distributed to all classes. For those students stranded at home and cannot go back to school due to the pandemic, Cuiyuan Middle School set up a live channel for them, and teachers of all subjects also set up instant messaging groups for them to ensure that they can have classes synchronously with their classmates.
In addition, the students have meals based on classes in different periods of times.
Third-grade students of Shenzhen Luohu Foreign Language School, Shenzhen Luohu Senior High School and Shenzhen Art High School also retuned campus thanks to the meticulous arrangements of the schools. Many parents and students have spoken highly of schools’ management for the returning.
At the opening ceremony of Shenzhen Luohu Foreign Language School, Ning Ge, president of Luohu Education Group, delivered a speech and encouraged the students to treasure life, regularly conduct self-reflection, be hard-working and be brave to pursue their dreams.
