Luohu seeks concrete public benefits through Party history education campaign
The historical development of the Communist Party of China, which was founded in 1921, is believed to be an ideal textbook for the country’s Party members and civil servants to draw inspiration, acquire knowledge and gain motivation so as to better fulfill their duties.
That’s why Luohu attaches great significance to the Party history education.
Luohu has organized a variety of activities, ranging from meetings and lectures to concerts that make the Party history learning more attractive and interesting.
The district has launched an online Party history classroom, through which Party members from more than 1,600 Party branches took part in quiz activities some 4.25 million times. More than 50,000 families took part in similar activities.
Party members and civil servants in Luohu have participated in nearly 2,000 seminars on the history of the Party; a total of 67 instructors organized more than 200 seminars for grassroots institutions and neighborhoods that attracted the participation of more than 20,000 people.
Luohu Party Chief Liu Sheng recently delivered a report on carrying forward Luohu’s “pioneering spirit and struggle culture” in a seminar on the Party history education, encouraging all departments of the district to reflect on the essence of Luohu’s pioneer spirit and struggle culture.
Under the guidance of Luohu’s “pioneering spirit and struggle culture,” Luohu is pressing ahead with a large number of development projects to build itself into a pilot city for sustainable development of socialist modernization. The projects include the Bijiashan River restoration project, the Chuanbu Street shantytown renovation program, the construction of the Shenzhen international jewelry and jade bonded trade center, and the upgrading of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong port economic belt.
Luohu has combined Party history education with addressing the people’s practical concerns. For example, Luohu has carried out projects concerning people’s livelihoods in 100 fields, bringing concrete benefits to the people.
