City reports 1 local confirmed COVID-19 case
Shenzhen reported one local confirmed, one imported confirmed and one imported asymptomatic COVID-19 cases yesterday.
The local case is a 27-year-old female surnamed Zheng who works at a company at the Shenzhou Computer Building in the Bei’er Road area in Bantian Subdistrict, Longgang District and lives in an apartment building on 2 Xihuan Road, Jihua Subdistrict, Longgang District.
Zheng took a nucleic acid test on Jan. 7 as a close contact of the two new local cases reported in Shenzhen on the same day. Both of her preliminary test result and the reviewed result issued by the Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention yesterday were positive.
The patient has been transferred to the emergency wards of the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment and was confirmed as a mild case of COVID-19. Currently, she is in stable condition.
The imported confirmed and asymptomatic cases are both Chinese nationals who flew from Los Angeles, the United States to Shenzhen on Dec. 29. They were quarantined upon entry and have been sent to the emergency wards of the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. Currently, the patients are in stable condition.
