Experts speak highly of Luohu’s green construction projects
A civil engineering technology seminar was held under the auspices of China Civil Engineering Society in Shenzhen on Dec. 27. Two of Luohu’s green construction projects were spoken highly of by more than 200 attendees.
The two projects were the Erxian Chahuadi project (an urban renewal program) and GDH City project (a multi-functional commercial complex).
At the construction site of the Erxian Chahuadi project, the participants visited the exhibition areas of green and quality construction, thermal insulation board, concrete management, quality virtual samples, science and technology patents, and intelligent security as well as a model hoisting experience area.
At the GDH City project construction site, visitors visited a smart hall and a prototype room, among others. Through these visits, the attendees gained a full understanding of the projects’ 5G technology intelligent application, grid-styled labor division, dynamic planning, 8S standardized management, and innovative construction technology of super high-rise waste channels, among other elements.
During the visits, experts and industry peers gave a high evaluation and recognition to the two projects, and affirmed the exemplary role of the two projects in the development of green building.
According to Liu Fuyi, secretary-general of the Shenzhen Civil Engineering Society, Shenzhen has adhered to the path of green and low-carbon development over recent years.
He said that Shenzhen became one of the first low-carbon pilot cities in China as early as 2010, and it has built a number of high-quality green buildings.
So far, 1,481 projects with a total area of more than 140 million square meters have been recognized as green buildings in Shenzhen.
In 2020 alone, the city had 160 new green building projects, including 146 high-standard ones, accounting for 91.3% of the city’s total green civil engineering projects.
