Luohu Charity Federation fund deepened for elderly caretakers
The Romanjoy Group has recently donated 800,000 yuan ($125,600) to a fund operated under the Luohu Charity Federation (LCF) to help the district’s front-line geriatric nurses improve their skills.
Zhan Hui, deputy district mayor of the Luohu District government, Kang Yali, chair of the LCF, Zhang Qingjie, president of the Romanjoy Group, and Yang Wenxiu, chief of the Luohu Civil Affairs Bureau, attended the activity.
During the event, Zhang said, “In 2018, we set up the special fund in the LCF in the hope of caring for front-line elderly service workers. While our enterprise is developing continuously, we are also doing our best to participate in public welfare and charity activities. This time, we invested 800,000 yuan to support the development of the pension cause, as always.”
Zhan said that he appreciates the enterprise’s charitable support and commitment to Luohu’s elderly nursing cause. He noted that media outlets should cover the charity enterprises more extensively, and spread their altruistic spirit.
He urged that the advice and suggestions of entrepreneurs should be heeded to support the high-quality development of Luohu’s charities.
He said that the district should make the “great love of Luohu” a pillar of its philanthropic brand, help charity organizations reach their full potential, collate social resources to facilitate a pro-charity atmosphere and make the charity’s due contribution to the sustainable development of the district.
Since the Romanjoy Group established the fund in December 2018, the organization has deposited a total of 3.2 million yuan into it.
Apart from this fund, the Romanjoy Group has also proactively contributed to the nation’s poverty alleviation efforts, helping Baise city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Lufeng city of Guangdong province get rid of poverty.
