Luohu holds investment promotion activity for cultural industries
An activity to attract investment to Luohu and promote the development of digital and creative culture industries in Shenzhen was held on Dec. 8 in the Luohu district.
The activity was co-hosted by the Luohu culture, radio, television, tourism, and sports bureau, the C Future Park, and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce. It also marked the opening of China-Italy Innovation and Creativity Center in the C Future Park, a large-scale city complex.
The activity leverages the resource advantages of Luohu, accelerates its industrial transformation, promotes the development of new industries to bring in investment, and attracts brands and enterprises with international influences to settle in Luohu, aiming to boost all-around development of the industrial economy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
According to Zhan Hui, deputy district mayor of the Luohu District People’s Government, the investment promotion activity represents the exploration of advancing government-enterprise cooperation to cultivate the cultural industry cluster, as well as a showcase of Luohu’s development environment and space for cultural industries.
Thanks to its fast socio-economic development over the last four decades, Luohu has cultivated a modern cultural and creative industry system with a solid foundation, prominent advantages, and distinctive features, Zhan said.
Industrial clusters tailored toward jewelry design and arts and crafts in Luohu are playing a leading role, and key cultural industry development platforms such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Copyright Registration Hall have been established in the district as well, he continued.
Zhan said that the activity fully demonstrates the district’s confidence and determination to develop creative and digital cultural industries and improve their productivity.
With digital visual effects, creative design, and other relevant industries as the key, Luohu will spare no efforts to build its digital creative industry cluster and take the initiative in the new round of innovative development of the cultural industries, Zhan said.
Luohu is also committed to working with a number of outstanding cultural enterprises to make the district a highland in culture creativity, so as to promote the high-quality development of cultural industries in the district and Shenzhen, Zhan added.
The district government will launch fund management regulations for industrial upgrading and roll out supporting policies for strategic emerging and future industries. It will also encourage enterprises to create and grade digital cultural products, conduct technological and financial innovations, and protect their intellectual property rights.
Looking ahead, Luohu hopes to attract global creative resources and talent, and promote international exchanges in innovation and creativity.
