Luohu’s top political advisory body vows to boost high-quality development

The 6th Luohu District Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference held its first meeting the morning of Nov. 2.
Wu Yuzhong, chairman of the Luohu District Committee of the CPPCC, the top political advisory body for Luohu authorities, delivered a report during the meeting, detailing the committee’s work over the past five years. He also introduced the committee’s plan for the next five years.
The meeting was also a chance for the committee to award some of its members who have drafted quality proposals and improved good governance in the district.
Over the past five years, the committee has received 718 proposals and filed 627 of them, which cover nearly every sector of governance and development.
The committee has published 11 research reports and conducted four seminars on key development tasks of the district, such as consumer reform, Dawutong emerging industrial belt construction and the development of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong port aconomic belt.
Other committee proposals that have been enacted include the founding of the Luohu enterprise service and talent recruitment center, the district’s industrial park, and the rollout of regulations for road-related projects.
The committee had also taken advantage of various means to strengthen its internal oversight and supervision.
According to Wu, the committee will work closely with Luohu authorities, submitting more decisive and workable proposals addressing major fields. Wu added the district looks forward to making breakthroughs that contribute to Luohu’s ongoing high-quality development.
