Luohu digital economy training session held
The opening ceremony of the 2021 Luohu digital economy development training session was held at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUST) on Oct. 25.
Hosted by Luohu financial service agency and organized by SUST business college, the five-day training session saw the participation of 40 staff members from the Luohu District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Luohu District People’s Government.
Wang Shuxun, dean of the finance department of the SUST, Li Ming, former Party chief of the SUST, Huang Tuo, director of Luohu financial service agency, and Li Baoqi, deputy director of the South China school of China Construction Bank University (CCBU) attended the opening ceremony.
Wang Shuxun’s lecture on “New opportunities and challenges brought by the development of digital economy to financial services” kicked off the training.
Li Ming pointed out that the Luohu district used to be the earliest financial center of Shenzhen. The district, as a bridgehead of Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation, is now facing new opportunities and new challenges. Luohu should recognize its own positioning, strengthen and deepen cooperation with Hong Kong from a holistic perspective, and focus on promoting the construction of Shenzhen-Hong Kong port economic belt.
Li also compared Shenzhen with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong in terms of the development of banking, securities, insurance, and other financial sectors. He stressed that Shenzhen, as an "engine" in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, can be positioned as a fin-tech center to drive economic growth.
Huang Tuo noted that, this training, themed industrial work, is to implement the guidelines of the 8th Party Congress of Luohu, which helps to speed up the cultivation of digital economy talents in the district.
He said that Luohu financial service agency will try to integrate all resources and provide high-quality teachers and courses for this training. Huang hoped that the trainees can seize the opportunity of learning, strengthen communication and foster a good learning atmosphere.
Li Baoqi hoped that, based on China Construction Bank Shenzhen branch’s close connection with Luohu, the CCBU and Luohu can carry out more comprehensive cooperation in the future.
He wished that the trainees can develop digital thinking and do their jobs to boost the development of digital economy. CCBU will make its contribution to the development of wealth management, science and technology finance, and small and micro-enterprises in Luohu and boost the development of the real economy of Shenzhen, Li added.
The training session serves as a platform for experts and industrial practitioners to hold lectures on such topics as blockchain, cross-border finance, digital currency, digital gold economy and venture investment.
All of the courses are closely related to the development trend of national digital economy and integrate Luohu’s industrial upgrading plan, which is of great significance to boost the high-quality development of the district’s digital economy and build the district into a pilot zone for financial technology and a demonstration zone for combined industry-finance development.
