Report answers key questions regarding Luohu’s development
The 8th congress of Luohu District Communist Party of China concluded Oct. 21. During the meeting, Luohu Party Chief Liu Sheng delivered a work report.
Zhou Xiaojian, a deputy attending the congress and director of Luohu Development and Reform Bureau, shared his thoughts about the report with the media.
“The report is inspiring and clearly gives us answers for the future development route, especially in combination with the industrial layout and the enhancement of hub functions,” Zhou said.
According to the report, Luohu will rely on large projects to optimize its function layout and pool resources. The district will build a main economic corridor and a new Shenzhen-Hong Kong regional economy center.
The district will also foster an international consumer service core area and cultural leisure area, and develop the Shenzhen-Hong Kong port economic belt, the Hongling emerging financial industry belt and the Dawutong emerging industry belt, Zhou added.
“The key is to promote connectivity in rules, industries, infrastructure, and people-to-people exchanges, which characterizes Shenzhen-Hong Kong integrated development,” explained Zhou.
In addition, Luohu will improve Luohu’s functions as a hub of transportation, exchange and consumption.
According to Zhou, Luohu will build Luohu North Railway Station, upgrade the Shenzhen Railway Station and explore the possibility of connecting with Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway.
Luohu is building a Shenzhen-Hong Kong integrated development zone, and three consumption zones to lead the upgrading of the consumption, Zhou added.
