Education a development priority for Luohu
"I feel very inspired to attend the 8th congress of the Luohu District Communist Party of China," said Yin Gang, chief of the Luohu Education Bureau and a deputy to the CPC Luohu District Committee.
Yin explained that Luohu has always prioritized education in its development strategy, and has always set aside the best resources, the best land and the largest investment for education. As such, with the full support of district authorities, Luohu’s education sector has developed rapidly in recent years.
According to the report delivered at the congress, the focus of Luohu’s education for the next five years will be on equity, moral cultivation and realizing the well-rounded development of every student, Yin said.
According to Yin, attending school in Luohu will be more convenient, as the district continues to build and expand schools, providing another 30,000 seats across primary and junior middle schools and constructing another 23 kindergartens over the next five years.
He added that the district has attached great importance to the school design to give schools unique styles and that all new schools will adhere to positive design principles.
Yin said that Luohu will encourage education groups to operate their schools with an eye towards balancing resource allocation, improve teacher training, and relieve students’ stress to inspire them to participate in more physical activities.
He believed that to achieve equitable education, the district should first provide enough seats in schools to ensure that all school-age children can attend classes. Then, resources should be rationally distributed throughout the schools to bolster the quality of education.
