City reports one imported confirmed COVID-19 case
On Sept. 17, Shenzhen reported one imported confirmed case and one imported asymptomatic case of COVID-19.
The confirmed case is a male of Serbian nationality. On Aug. 24, he flew to Shenyang from Serbia and was put under quarantine for 14 days. On Sept. 8, he arrived in Shenzhen from Shenyang and underwent home quarantine, during which he did not go out, and his nucleic acid tests were all negative. On Thursday, he tested positive for nucleic acid and was then transferred to the emergency ward of the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. Currently, the patient is in stable condition.
The asymptomatic case is a male of Chinese nationality from South Africa. He flew to Shenzhen via Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday. He was quarantined upon entry and was later sent to the emergency ward of the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. Currently, the patient is in stable condition.
