An oil painting of Dongjiang guerrilla, an armed force led by the Communist Party of China during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, measuring 4.6 meters by 2 m, is currently on display at the Museum of the Communist Party of China in Beijing.

The oil painting belongs to the museum’s permanent collection. Perhaps more noteworthy, however, is that under the guidance of Liang Yu, chair of the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles, four artists from Luohu – Fang Xiaolong, Chen Yuegang, Zhang Kai and Zhan Huangxin – were involved in the creation of the work, making it the only one from Shenzhen exhibited and collected by the museum.

It’s part of a larger exhibition entitled "Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Bearing in Mind Our Mission – Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China" which opened June 27, and will last until December.

The exhibition, which features nearly 180 works by Chinese artists including painting, oil painting, printmaking, mixed materials and sculpture, is sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
