Six new service centers for the elderly opened in Luohu recently.
They are located in Qingshuihe sub-district and communities of Dongxiao, Dushu, Pengxing, Huangbeiling and Yucun, effectively establishing a comprehensive nursing service network in the district.
All told, the network will create a 15-minute system throughout the district, by which senior citizens can receive care, with an eye towards innovative and sustainable development of the industry.
Likewise, grassroots branches of the Communist Party of China and property management companies are being encouraged to contribute to the industry’s development so that access to care is more equitable and standardized.
The initiative is part of Luohu’s wider focus on upgrading and expanding its elderly care infrastructure and facilities through the use of advanced technology.
Meanwhile, the civil affairs, water supply, power supply and administration data departments of Luohu are working together for the security of senior residents living alone.
