Luohu announces new youth-oriented initiatives
During a biweekly news conference held Aug. 12, the Luohu district government outlined its latest progress with a slate of new youth-oriented initiatives.
The news conference was jointly hosted by the publicity department of theCommunist Party of China Luohu Committee, the Luohu Education Bureau and the Luohu District Committee of the Communist Youth League.
The Luohu district government released a plan detailing how to advance the ideological and moral education of minors late last year. It has established six centers to promote the caring for and protection of its younger residents.
Luohu is also organizing nine youth-oriented public welfare activities related to reading, sports and entertainment, among others.
At the same time, Luohu will open to public the fire and rescue station, the traffic police station, the court, the procuratorate, the neighborhood service centers, and science centers in the district between August and October, so that kids can visit them and get firsthand experience.
