Zuo Jinping, deputy head of the Luohu district government, and officials of the Shenzhen and Luohu financial and banking administrative departments attended the ceremony marking the beginning of the project called “Luohu 1 plus N”.
The “1” refers to the one mission of promoting the usage of digital renminbi, and the “N” indicates the many kinds of activities that Luohu will carry out to raise the people’s financial literacy, ranging from training to seminars.
At the ceremony marking the start of the project, 11 financial agencies were recognized as financial social service providers - whose representatives will act as defenders of the people’s financial safety to protect them from financial frauds. Meanwhile, four sub-district offices of Cuizhu, Dongmen, Guiyuan and Sungang were recognized as science popularization platforms for the people to gain financial knowledge.
The project aims to address people’s practical concerns regarding finance, ensure people’s financial security, and help build high-quality financial education and financial literacy improvement systems in Shenzhen.
The program will cover allfinancial consumers, particularly the young and elders, to make them wary of the financial risks they might be exposed to in their daily lives.
