Luohu initiates its largest urban renovation project in Caiwuwei
The long-awaited urban renovation project in Caiwuwei, Luohu district, has been launched as the largest urban renovation project in the district.
The planning of the project at city level started in August, 2013. The area is expected to be built into a complex incorporating functions of commerce, culture and residence.
In April 2017, the Luohu district government published a draft plan on the project, specifying the renovation scope and parameters of the project.
In May 2018, construction began on the first building.
In July 2018, the Caiwuwei village house demolition and relocation contract signing ceremony was held.
In the following month, the district government decided to build Caiwuwei as a core zone of finance, commerce and culture.
In May 2019, Caiwuwei’s urbanization renovation project property contract signing ceremony was organized.
The zone covers an area of 33 hectares, and is located in the west of Luohu bordering Futian district, being under the jurisdiction of the Guiyuan sub-district office.
Public facilities occupy an important position in the project to improve public services.
The two landmark skyscrapers to be built in the area will not be higher than 500 meters, according to the district government.
