As of 8:00 am on June 2, the Luohu Hospital Group had tested more than three million nucleic acid samples.
Since its participation in the fight against COVID-19 in January last year, the performance of the Luohu Hospital Group can be summarized as "early planning, efficient organization and quick response," according to Group President Sun Xizhuo.
After the outbreak of the virus, the group immediately mobilized the molecular diagnosis lab of its medical examination center as a test lab for nucleic acid samples; meanwhile, it took the group only eight days to build its second test lab, which was opened on May 8 last year.
It set up the third test lab in Luohu Port early this year to test truck drivers commuting between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Without the three test labs, it would not have been possible for Luohu to meet the huge demand for nucleic acid test in such a short time.
The group also set up a special nucleic acid test team to make sure the centers could operate smoothly.
It is the medical care reform of Luohu over the past few years that has enabled the group to mobilize the resources and personnel essential for its quick response.
In the fight against the virus, the group has constantly explored ways to apply new equipment and technology, and streamline work procedures for nucleic acid tests.
