Luohu to work with Shenzhen airport and bus groups on Qingshuihe transportation
The Luohu District People’s Government, Shenzhen Airport Group and Shenzhen Bus Group signed a framework convention for cooperation on May 25.
According to the agreement, the three parties will give a full play to their respective strengths in resources and engage in all-round cooperation in the planning and construction of the terminal building at Qingshuihe of Luohu.
This will include the operation and management of the building, and providing smart services to the passengers using it, in a bid to offer the people high-quality and efficient comprehensive land-air multimodal transport services.
Luohu Party chief Luo Yude said the terminal building and the airport express light rail line were important infrastructural facilities of the airport, and the construction projects were important measures the district is taking to implement the municipal authorities’ plan for building the city into a transportation hub developed in transport technology, infrastructure and management.
The construction would be conducive to improving the zone’s image, optimizing its transportation system and making it more convenient for local residents.
Luo hoped that Shenzhen Airport Group and Shenzhen Bus Group could take full advantage of their professionalism and efficient operation and management in joint efforts to make the terminal building an exemplary urban renovation project and landmark building to boost the development of the zone.
The Qingshuihe zone is an important hub in the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, as well as an industrial base recognized by the Shenzhen municipal government for the artificial intelligence industry it plans to develop.
With the opening of the Qingshuihe station of No.14 subway line next year, which is also a transfer station for No.17 subway line, as well as the planned No. 25 subway line, Qingshuihe will become a comprehensive transport hub benefiting more than one million people living in the north of Luohu, the south of the Longgang district and the west of Yantian district.
