The Luohu district government held a seminar on future-oriented education on April 25.
Song Qiang, deputy head of the Luohu district government, met with Zhang Fengchang, vice-chairman of the Tsinghua University Education Foundation and former vice-president of Tsinghua University.
During the meeting, they awarded the Luohu Future School a plate of "innovation experimental school of the humanistic education development center of the School of Humanities of Tsinghua University".
The Luohu Future School represents the district's latest efforts to explore educational innovation. It is an example of multilateral cooperation example between Luohu, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University and Institute of Studies for Greater Bay Area.
Also known as the Luohu Institute for Future Education, the nine-year school will open in September.
It will stress the application of internet technology in education and focus on improving students' comprehensive quality.
