Luohu set up its exhibition booths at the 19th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals held in the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center April 24-25.
The intention was to take advantage of the event to show the district's development achievements, and actions to realize the objective of building itself into an all-embracing hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, so as to attract talents from around the world.
Lai Wu, deputy secretary of the CPC Luohu Committee, and Chen Longxing, deputy head of the Luohu district government, visited Luohu's exhibition booths along with officials from relevant district departments.
Under a theme of "innovation, development, cooperation and win-win", the event, first launched in 2001, is a comprehensive national one promoting cross-border talent exchanges.
In the No.1 hall, Luohu showed its strengths in commerce and industry, as well as featuring some of its star enterprises. A total of 16 companies from Luohu directly recruited new employees during the exhibition.
In the No. 6 hall, Luohu exhibited its research and development, natural and educational resources and facilities.
Notably, Han Dongqing, Party chief and president of the Shenzhen Cuiyuan Middle School (Group) took part in the 3rd China Science Popularization Innovation and Development Summit Forum on the sidelines of the event, and was awarded a prize for his contribution to science popularization work.
