Qingshuihe a rising hub of innovation and transportation
In the future, Qingshuihe would become one of the areas boasting the highest rail traffic density in Shenzhen, and a hub of hubs in Luohu, predicted Tong Xing, deputy chief of the Luohu development and reform bureau, during the session of the 7th Luohu District People’s Congress on Jan 29.
In the Luohu district government work report, urban renewal projects were given priority on the local governments’ to-do list. And the Sungang-Qingshuihe plot was one of the 18 key development areas of Shenzhen, and an important section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao science and technology innovation corridor.
Tong said that all 34 tasks regarding the Qingshuihe project had been set out clearly and assigned to specific departments with their respective deadlines set.
The overall investment on fixed assets in Qingshuihe this year could reach 13.5 billion yuan ($2.08 billion). And there are a batch of big projects with an investment of more than 1 billion yuan each to be launched, according to Tong.
In the future, there will be two high-speed railways passing through Qingshuihe connecting Shenzhen with Shantou, and three subway lines — No.14, No.17 and No.25 , he added.
