Green health code a must for new semester
Starting from Feb. 15, all kindergarten children, students and teaching faculty of schools of various levels in Luohu are required to report their health information and apply for a health code on a WeChat mini program called shen-i-nin.
If the health information submitted by the user fits the district's requirements, then he or she will receive a green health code. If the user fails to meet the requirements then their health code will be displayed as red.
Only green health code carriers will be allowed to enter the grounds of kindergartens, schools, universities and colleges, according to the Luohu district government.
The government said the practice, part of the district's COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control efforts, is to make sure the new semester, which begins early next month, will start smoothly while protecting the health of students and teachers.
Until the novel coronavirus is eradicated throughout the world, it is believed that such practices will become conventional in Luohu for the foreseeable future.
