The Luohu district government has issued 20 policies to optimize the business environment for the catering industry to create "a full-life-cycle service chain" for catering enterprises.

Notably, among the policies are guidelines, the first of their kind in the country, on how investors from the Hong Kong can register a business in the catering industry, and how they can invest in restaurants in Luohu.

The rest of the policies are about five aspects related to the catering industry, including the registration of enterprises, the facilitation of financing for catering enterprises, and reforms on supporting services for the catering industry.

The policies will make it easier to start a new business in the catering industry, and effectively ease the financial burden of enterprises in this industry.

To encourage more Hong Kong catering enterprises to invest in Luohu, the district government has set up a special service window in its administration service hall, and civil servants working there are fluent in both Cantonese and English.

The Luohu government said it provides one-stop registration services for investors from Hong Kong.

The government aims to turn Luohu into an ideal base for enterprises in the catering industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It also plans to construct the first Hong Kong food court on the Chinese mainland in five years, in the hope that it can become Shenzhen's landmark and a new attraction for tourists.
