Apart from being the first district founded in Shenzhen, Luohu has many other labels. For example, it is the place where the country first trialed its reform and opening-up policies.

Nowadays, aiming to become an all-embracing hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Luohu also plays an important role in Shenzhen’s construction of a pilot demonstration zone of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

While upgrading its infrastructure and public services, Luohu is not only connected with neighboring cities through subways, high-speed railway services and expressways, but also trying to integrate its public services with its neighbors, particularly the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, so as to promote the flow of production factors.
