On July 8, Luohu opened its enterprise service center. This is the first professional agency set up by the district government to provide tailor-made services to enterprises.
Fan Defan, deputy director of the district government, said the establishment of the center is an important decision and is a concrete action to improve Luohu's business environment. Currently, there are 180,000 enterprises in Luohu, among which 2,701 register their annual sales revenue above 20 million yuan ($2.86 million) each.
The district has rolled out a series of pro-business and pro-industry policies to help enterprises overcome difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, Luohu provided 657 million yuan in assistance funds to local enterprises.
Liu Chen, the person in charge of the enterprise service center, said that the agency will serve as a bridge between the government and enterprises and establish a "one-station" service mechanism for enterprises, particularly the 297 key enterprises in the district.
According to Liu, the center's main task is to help enterprises to be listed on the stock market, particularly financial companies, as the district has a developed financial sector compared with other districts in Shenzhen.
It will also assist private companies in Luohu to strengthen their Party building, as the CPC's grassroots branches have proved crucial in the pandemic control campaign, Liu added.
