On Tuesday morning, Luohu’s traffic police dispatched a policeman to escort a student who was stuck in traffic to his national college entrance exam venue on time.
At 8:20 am, Luohu’s Sungang traffic-police squad received a report that an exam-taker in a private car heading to his exam site at Cuiyuan Middle School was stranded in a traffic jam, and the student had called for help. The exam was to begin at 9 am.
The closest policeman was dispatched to transport the student to the school by motorcycle. The whole trip took about two minutes.

The annual Gaokao, a national college entrance exam, began on Tuesday this year and will last for about four days across the country. It was postponed by one month due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
To minimize traffic’s influence on the exam, the traffic police of Luohu sent 94 policemen to escort exam-takers who were in areas near five exam sites, conducted temporary traffic control, and opened “green channels” and temporary parking spots for vehicles related to the exam.
