Exhibition on New Territories Development hosted in Luohu

From Feb. 10 to 16, the Hong Kong Development Bureau is hosting a special exhibition on the "New Towns and Ma Tso Lung Development Plan in the Northern New Territories" at Shenzhen's Luohu Kingglory Plaza. This marks the first time such an exhibition has been brought to the Chinese mainland.
The exhibition presents preliminary development proposals for the new towns and Ma Tso Lung, focusing on key aspects such as regional spatial planning, transportation infrastructure, and industrial positioning.
Situated within the Port Trade and Industry Zone—one of the four key regions of Hong Kong’s Northern Metropolis—the new towns and Ma Tso Lung are strategically located near three major border checkpoints: Luohu, Wenjindu, and Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai. The development plan aims to strengthen the port economy and establish large-scale industrial zones, ultimately transforming the area into a hub for cross-border commerce and emerging industries.
By bringing this exhibition to the mainland, the initiative fosters in-depth exchanges on cutting-edge urban planning concepts and practical experiences between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. This effort is expected to enhance cooperation and promote the coordinated development of the two cities.
