Luohu holds first drone pilot skills competition
On November 9, the finals of the 2024 Shenzhen Skills Competition for Drone Pilots were held at Shenzhen Xingzhi Vocational and Technical School. This marked Luohu District's first-ever competition in the drone field. After a rigorous preliminary round, 38 contestants advanced to compete in the finals.
The competition included two main events: drone assembly and debugging, and precision delivery of goods. These events tested participants’ comprehensive skills in drone assembly, maintenance, and flight operations. During the assembly phase, contestants meticulously handled tasks such as structure assembly, wiring layout, and power-on inspection. In the delivery phase, participants demonstrated precise control, successfully completing targeted deliveries from distances of 5, 8, 11, and 14 meters.
This inaugural competition serves as a significant platform for promoting drone technology and cultivating skilled professionals. It also plays a vital role in advancing the high-quality development of Luohu’s low-altitude economy and aligns with the goals of the 20th CPC Central Committee's third plenary session. The event spotlighted a group of highly skilled talents, injecting fresh energy and momentum into the sustainable growth of Luohu District's low-altitude economy.
