Luohu advances its freight forwarding and logistics industry through reforms

The 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China adopted the Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Further Deepening Reform Comprehensively to Advance Chinese Modernization at its third plenary session. It points out that we will improve the commodity distribution system, speed up the development of the Internet of Things, and further refine the integrated framework of distribution rules and standards to cut logistics costs throughout society. This sets a clear path for the future development of the logistics industry.
Luohu district, with its unique location, strong industrial foundation, and ample industrial space, is advancing towards internationalization, aggregation, and intensification of its freight forwarding and logistics industry through a series of reforms.
Since April of this year, Luohu has been vigorously supporting eligible freight forwarding and logistics enterprises through various initiatives, such as constructing specialized buildings, securing industrial space, encouraging expansion and improvement, supporting digital empowerment, and reducing financing costs. These efforts have provided strong momentum for the sector's growth in the district.
Over the past five years, Luohu has added 4.46 million square meters of new industrial space, offering ample, high-quality space for freight forwarding and logistics companies to settle and grow.
In terms of talent attraction, Luohu will intensify efforts to draw and cultivate high-level talent, offering preferential policies in recruitment and housing to retain skilled professionals.
Moreover, Luohu encourages technological and model innovations in the industry. The district promotes the use of modern IT technologies like big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things to enhance operational efficiency and service quality. A logistics information platform is also being developed to facilitate resource sharing and optimal allocation.
As of 2023, Luohu hosts 391 international freight forwarding and logistics enterprises above designated size, accounting for about 30% of the total in Shenzhen city.
