IKEA opens first design and order center in mainland China

IKEA's first Design and Order Center in mainland China opened yesterday at Luohu MixCATE in Shenzhen. The new center, covering approximately 300 square meters, offers customized IKEA solutions in a smaller and more flexible format compared to traditional IKEA stores, adapting to changing consumer needs to enhance the omnichannel experience.
The center supports small and medium-sized enterprises and aims to boost the private economy. Additionally, the store features a unique Swedish culinary experience, allowing customers to enjoy food while exploring home furnishing options.
Last year, Luohu district introduced measures to support high-quality development in the commercial sector, encouraging the clustering of home appliances, furniture, and other related businesses. The district aims to enhance its home industry cluster and create a themed shopping street centered on "home culture," providing significant support for new or newly established home furnishing and appliance centers.
