In the first quarter of 2024, Luohu began the construction of nine projects, with a total investment of 11.84 billion yuan.

Six projects are government-funded, while the remaining three are privately invested. These projects include building a zero-carbon demonstration center in Luohu Talent Park, and renovation of residential houses.

In addition, Luohu aims to complete 107 difficult tasks, and 137 major tasks in various fields including business solicitation and attracting investment, identifying industrial space, developing major areas, and building five commercial districts.

The financial industry underpins Luohu's economy. This year Luohu will leverage the emerging financial industrial development in Hongling area, and build five related industrial parks.

Pi Jun, deputy director of the Financial Services Bureau of Luohu District, introduced that the wealth management park and the private equity quantitative park will focus on venture capital and private equity, and strive to extend the private equity management to 120 billion yuan this year. The digital RMB industrial park will attract leading payment companies, hoping to introduce 15 key financial institutions in the digital RMB field.

Gold, jewelry, medical beauty, and education and training are the key areas for development. "We must seize the opportunity to develop the financial industry, business services and other related industrial chains, and at the same time make up for the shortcomings of the ‘20+8’ industrial cluster development,” said Pi.
