Shenzhen-Shanwei high-speed railway facilitates Louhu's transport
The construction of the Shenzhen-Shanwei high-speed railway officially commenced on Jan. 4, 2021, and is expected to be completed by 2026. Spanning a total length of 125.486 kilometers, the Shenzhen urban segment covers 52.538 kilometers, with a 12-kilometer section situated in the Luohu district, encompassing the sub-districts of Qingshuihe, Dongxiao, and Donghu.
As a crucial element of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network, the Shenzhen-Shanwei high-speed railway plays a pivotal role in helping China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone implement the Belt and Road Initiative and advance the strategic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Upon completion, the railway will effectively solidify the rial advantages of the Luohu, facilitate urban transformation, and establish a one-hour commuting circle from Luohu to the Shenzhen metropolitan area.
