Luohu’s tourism flourished during 8-day holiday
Luohu district experienced a significant surge in tourism during the recent eight-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday from Sept. 29 to Oct. 6.
Luohu ports serviced over 1.22 million passengers and more than 240 tour groups during the holiday, reaching a daily peak of over 210,000 passengers.
Luohu’s cultural tourism sector also showcased its new vitality with diverse consumption scenarios for travelers. Notably, the Kingway Beer Culture Festival witnessed a doubling of its daily revenue, while the nearby Teemall shopping center saw a 50% revenue increase since its opening. In addition, Luohu’s Kingglory Plaza shopping center welcomed 580,000 visitors during the holiday, with a revenue surge of 71% compared to the same period last year. Finally, Shuibei Wanshan Jewelry Culture Industrial Park served nearly 250,000 travelers throughout the eight-day holiday, with daily footfall exceeding 30,000, representing a 50% year-on-year increase.
