The Shuibei business district in Luohu district recently placed fourth on a list of exemplary and characteristic provincial-level business districts, according to the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province.

Luohu is dedicated to driving Shenzhen towards the vision of becoming a “Global Jewel City,” with a special focus on the Shuibei gold and jewelry consumption district. On Sept. 6, the 2023 Shenzhen Jewel Festival and the 10th China Gold Jewelry Ceremony commenced at Luohu’s IBC mall. This remarkable event, covering the entire industry chain, stands as the district’s most extensive and engaging jewelry festival to date, featuring over 10 activities that will continue until December.

Recognizing the importance of the internet and the digital economy, Luohu is resolutely embracing cutting-edge technologies to empower the growth of the gold and jewelry industry through digitalization. The district has implemented supportive policies to facilitate the expansion and strengthening of various livestreaming platforms in Shuibei, fostering the diversification of consumption formats and promoting the development of its livestreaming industry. Intelligent transformation and digitalization are considered crucial strategies to enhance the quality and efficiency of the traditional gold and jewelry sector.

Luohu has devised a comprehensive blueprint for the Shuibei-Buxin Jewelry Industry Base, scientifically allocating industrial space and leveraging existing industry foundations and regional distribution. This plan encompasses a holistic, spatial industrial layout and an encompassing planning structure. Additionally, the district has implemented its “10 Major Projects” plan, emphasizing brand-building, digitalization, high-end specialization, and internationalization of its gold and jewelry industry.
