New medical lab to settle in Luohu for innovation
Luohu district government and the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIAT) have jointly founded the China-Europe Innovation and Precision Medicine Research Center, which is set to be located in Luohu's Qingshuihe Headquarters New City later this year.
After nearly a year of preparation, the research center is ready to launch as an innovation hub dedicated to the research and application of precision medicine, in vitro diagnosis, innovative medicine, and medical equipment. It aims to establish a platform for shared technologies and services, fostering an industrial cluster that encompasses original medicine and comprehensive health solutions.
Yuqiu Liyang, the center's general manager, emphasized that the center will facilitate the development of Luohu's biological health industry through a vertical pattern to bridge fundamental innovative and industrial applications.
The center expects to attract three to five competitive enterprises later this year, as well as 30 to 50 representative teams who will join over the next three years. Additionally, it plans to establish a “Luohu Health Valley” that will drive the coordinated development of various industries.
