This year, the 15^thNational Fitness Day falls on Aug 8. On Aug 4, the Luohu district government released a batch of sports coupons worth 3 million yuan ($418,000) to incentivize residents to exercise and to stimulate sports consumption in the district.

People can apply for the coupons, which expire seven days after activation, via the iShenzhen app. The coupons can be used at several Luohu sports venues taking part in the program.

To mark National Fitness Day, Luohu will also organize various free sports-related lectures and fitness activities.
