Luohu gains popularity among Hong Kong consumers
China Central Television recently reported that Luohu is becoming an increasingly popular shopping destination for Hong Kong residents, especially on weekends.
The Luohu district government kicked off the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Culture Month activity on July 23, aimed at attracting tourists and consumers from Hong Kong. The activity, lasting until Aug. 14, encompasses all major shopping zones and includes more than 30 events related to art, culture, food, entertainment and consumption.
Hong Kong residents can now pay directly through the Octopus mobile phone app within the district. This convenience is made possible thanks to a digital renminbi program that Luohu has launched.
